Ram Trucks - Canadian #Truck King Challenge Champ

2014 Truck King Coverage

Each year a group of Canadian auto writers gather some of Canada’s toughest trucks for a grueling test they call the Canadian Truck King Challenge. The field consists of 16 contestants in three categories. Ram Trucks was represented by our Ram 1500 3.6L Pentastar V6, Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel V6, Ram 1500 5.7-liter V8 Laramie and Ram 2500 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel.

The test consists of three parts: towing an 8,000-lb. trailer, hauling 1,800 lbs. of payload, and off-road performance testing. Each truck’s performance in capability and fuel economy was measured as well as an overall impression of the truck’s features.

Impressive powertrains, unmatched interiors, and overall unparalleled capability across the line allowed Ram to sweep the competition. Our Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and Ram 1500 featuring the legendary 5.7L HEMI® took the first and second spots in the over $45,000 category, while the Ram 1500 with the Pentastar V6 took the title in the under $45,000 category. The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel was also named the overall Truck King Challenge winner.

We’re not even into awards season yet and the Ram Trucks lineup has already claimed some great accolades from the press. To learn more about our award-winning lineup, head over to the Londonderry Dodge website.

Chrysler Uconnect Access Systems
Smart Uconnect systemTwo Uconnect systems are offered to provide Ram Truck customers with a range of features and connectivity options to best suit their needs, including:
Uconnect 8.4A — features an 8.4-inch color touchscreen and offers customers the flexibility to purchase navigation after the vehicle sale. The system also provides Ram Truck customers with multiple ways to stay connected. Drivers can use the voice recognition technology to place handsfree phone calls, control their music or send a text message. There are a variety of ways to access digital music content, including SiriusXM Radio, access to a SD, USB and 3.5 mm auxiliary input in the media console, and all are standard. Also, an optional CD player is located in the lower storage bin of the center console.
Uconnect 8.4AN — features an 8.4-inch color touchscreen with standard navigation and provides Ram Truck customers with multiple handsfree ways to stay entertained in their truck.
Entertainment features
HD Radio, SiriusXM Radio and a variety of ways to access digital music, including SD, USB and 3.5 mm auxiliary inputs as well as a remote USB port in the media console, all come standard. Also, an optional CD player is located in the lower storage bin of the center console.

Navigation features The Uconnect 8.4A offers customers the flexibility to purchase navigation either at or after the vehicle sale. The Uconnect 8.4AN offers navigation standard, including 3D imagery of landmarks, city models and digital terrain. Both Uconnect systems utilize the large, 8.4-inch screen to deliver directions, lane guidance and points of interest. Directions are given audibly and also appear in the vehicle information center – so information is available when the driver needs it. The system features enhanced graphics and a one-step voice entry system so Ram Truck customers can easily say the address and navigate on the go.

SiriusXM Travel LinkSiriusXM Travel Link provides information and entertainment. SiriusXM Travel Link can be operated via voice and provides premium data services and information to make every trip more efficient. Services include:
  • Weather: shows coast-to-coast weather data, current conditions and five-day forecasts, detailed storm cell information, hurricane and tropical storm tracking, local wind speeds and even ski resort conditions
  • Fuel Prices: lists prices, locations and distance to more than 120,000 fuel stations across the United States, and can have the navigation system route to a selected fuel station location. The feature also can search for fuel grade pricing
  • Sports: in-game and final scores and weekly schedules from the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, golf, college football and basketball
  • Movies: uses listings from more than 4,500 movie theaters across the United States to help consumers plan movie times, theater addresses, ratings, and run lengths ahead of time. Passengers also may have the navigation system set a route to a selected theater location
SiriusXM TrafficSiriusXM Traffic works with the vehicle’s navigation system to display traffic speed and flow information, along with accident information to assist drivers in routing around congested areas.

Uconnect Access: A suite of connected services The Uconnect 8.4A and 8.4AN provide Ram Truck owners with an included 6- or 12-month trial of Uconnect Access Services. A variety of services leverage a built-in wireless connection. With the Uconnect Access app, users can remotely lock or unlock doors or start their vehicles via the web or smartphone application.

The Uconnect system includes a 911 button on the rearview mirror for a direct connection to emergency services. An ASSIST button also is integrated into the rearview mirror to summon help directly from a roadside assistance provider or connect with Chrysler Group’s Vehicle Customer Care Center.

With their hands on the wheel, Ram Truck customers also can use Uconnect Access to tap the power of the cloud. When a compatible (check for device compatibility) Bluetooth mobile phone with the Message Access Profile (MAP) is paired, Uconnect Access will:
  • Announce receipt of incoming texts
  • Identify the senders
  • “Read” the messages aloud
To respond or compose any new text, drivers need to simply dictate a message of 140 characters or less. The cloud-based voice-recognition system converts spoken words to text and “reads” it back for accuracy before sending verbatim. And it can all be done handsfree, without having to memorize any preapproved messages.

Drivers unsure of their destination can use voice commands to engage the new Uconnect Access Yelp connected search service and simply say what they are looking for.

En route, passengers also can check e-mail or browse news sites. On Demand Wi-Fi hotspot capability enabled by Uconnect Access provides in-cabin wireless Internet connectivity via laptop, tablet or smartphone, whether on the move or at the worksite. Passengers can purchase Wi-Fi for a day, week or month.

Uconnect Access Via Mobile The Ram Truck vehicle lineup includes Uconnect Access Via Mobile (late availability), an extension of Chrysler Group’s suite of Uconnect Access services. Uconnect Access Via Mobile offers an easy-to-learn interface and easy-to-view 8.4-inch touchscreen that allows customers to enjoy their personal Internet radio accounts and stream audio content using their own mobile device data plans. The result: a truly personalized listening experience.

Uconnect Access Via Mobile seamlessly brings four popular Internet radio apps into the Ram truck lineup. They are: Aha by Harman, iHeartRadio, Pandora and Slacker. Like all Uconnect-brand features, it is designed to be easy to learn and easy to use.

With Pandora, for instance, customers can register their preferences by hitting the app’s familiar buttons – “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” – which are displayed on the available 8.4-inch touchscreen.
In addition, unique steering-wheel controls enable song skipping.

Uconnect systems are always currentRam Truck owners will be confident to know their truck is designed to be forward-thinking, providing the freedom to upgrade to the latest services, without having to replace their factory installed Uconnect systems. Uconnect Access services are updatable over the air and are downloaded directly to the Uconnect 8.4A and 8.4AN systems, keeping features current. Ram Truck owners will be able to continually evolve their in-vehicle connectivity experience.

A variety of ways to control your contentUconnect’s controls are placed on the steering wheel. Customer research has shown a preference towards audio controls located at the rear of the steering wheel and Ram Truck was the first truck manufacturer to integrate these rocker switches for ease of use. Audio system controls, including next station, radio preset and previous station or track, are located on the left. Volume up or down and change audio source are located on the right. This means Ram Truck drivers can keep their hands on the wheel while they enjoy a variety of entertainment content sources.

Voice Command The available Uconnect Voice Command is a voice-activated communication system that allows drivers to control their mobile phone, music and navigation system while staying focused on driving. When a compatible Bluetooth mobile phone is initially connected to the system, the phone book within a mobile phone is automatically downloaded, synchronizing as many as 1,000 phone book entries, which can then be selected by simply saying a contact name. The feature also allows drivers to switch radio modes, tune to SiriusXM Radio, AM/FM radio, and HD radio and request real-time information (such as fuel prices) from the available SiriusXM Travel Link using natural voice commands. The handsfree option promotes driver focus, freedom, value and flexibility.

Bluetooth-equipped cell phones also feature Message Access Profile (MAP) with advanced text messaging:
  • Announces receipt of a text message
  • Audibly identifies senders
  • Reads the message
This industry-first voice recognition system uses the embedded connectivity to access cloud-based voice-recognition and enable advanced text messaging, which converts the spoken word into verbatim text messages. Communication is limited only by the user’s vocabulary.

7-inch multiview display Filling the gauge cluster in front of the driver is an available 7-inch, color, premium multiview display, featuring a customizable function that enables Ram customers to personalize information inside the instrument cluster. Ram’s information display is designed to visually communicate information, using graphics and text, quickly and easily.

The multiview display offers drivers a wide range of customization options, from a basic digital speed read out to specific vehicle status information. Operation of the display is clearly communicated to users with easy-to-understand icons and instructions. Using buttons on the steering wheel, drivers can customize the screen with as much or as little information as they desire. The system is intuitive and can be arranged for a variety of views. Up to three analog vehicle status gauges can be added to the display. The main screens found inside the instrument cluster menu are: digital speed, engine hours, vehicle information and fuel economy, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) levels, trailer-tow information, audio, stored messages and screen customization. Additionally, the four corners of the display can be customized to show information at a glance, including current fuel economy, outside temperature, time and compass direction.

Once a main screen is chosen, it becomes the default setting, remembering the user’s selection upon restarting the truck. Vehicle concerns are instantly reported to the driver via pop-up warning messages on the display. Text warning messages are automatically stored so a driver can review the message at their convenience.

Alpine premium audio systems
The 2014 Ram Truck vehicle lineup offers an audiophile-quality audio system to immerse passengers in premium sound. Using Alpine high-performance speakers and an advanced digital signal processing (DSP) amplifier, the optional Alpine 10-speaker premium audio system includes:
  • A 12-channel amplifier with advanced DSP for 7.1-adapted surround sound
  • Three 3.5-inch speakers located in the instrument panel
  • Two 6 x 9-inch speakers located in the front doors
  • Two 2.5-inch rear surround speakers located in the headliner
  • Two 6 x 9-inch speakers located in the rear doors
  • One 8-inch dual voice coil (DVC) subwoofer positioned in a sealed enclosure under the rear seat

Powernet electrical architecture As Ram Truck continues to offer more content, it has created the need for a technology that allows more information to be electronically communicated within the truck. The Powernet system allows both high- and low-speed data networks to be equipped with as many as 40 individual modules, all designed to improve vehicle performance and enhance the comfort and safety of driver and passengers. Within the Powernet high-speed network, each module (e.g., electronic stability control) processes its individual data and transmits the appropriate commands within the vehicle to activate any additional systems (e.g. anti-lock brake system and cruise control). Uconnect leverages Powernet to deliver fast response time, and share critical information between the 8.4-inch touchscreen and the vehicle information center. The Powernet architecture also is the backbone that supports the Uconnect Access services and applications, including the Ram Truck health report and remote services.

Sprint provides wireless platform for Uconnect AccessSprint is the strategic wireless partner for Chrysler Group’s Uconnect Access services. The integrated wireless services enhance the driving experience by providing a “connected” experience. The services delivered through the partnership are easy to learn, easy to use and will provide a seamless experience with the Ram Truck owner’s digital life. An increasing number of features in the 2014 Ram Truck vehicle lineup will rely on enhanced user interfaces, including voice capabilities and commands to help limit driving distractions and keep the focus on the primary driving task.

2014 Ram ProMaster ProMaster customers can make the best use of their valuable time by leveraging Uconnect’s easy-to-learn, easy-to-use communications, entertainment and navigation features.
  • Communication: Handsfree calling in all-new 2014 Ram ProMaster is made convenient via reliable Bluetooth technology. Similarly, the truck’s handsfree text-reply feature enables customers to quickly deliver one of 18 messages, ranging from “I’m on my way,” to “I can’t talk right now,” to “I need directions”
  • Navigation: A full-color, five-inch touchscreen is available with global positioning satellite (GPS) navigation, providing Ram ProMaster customers the ability to chart timesaving routes to their destinations
  • Entertainment: A standard-equipment four-speaker sound system – two tweeters in the A-pillars and two mid-range speakers in the front door panels – channels available Sirius XM Radio into the Ram ProMaster’s spacious cab. An AM/FM radio, with crisp monochromatic display, comes standard. And listening was never easier than with Chrysler’s Group’s industry-exclusive steering-wheel-mounted audio controls

Additional convenience comes in the form of USB ports. A 2.5-amp USB port on the instrument panel affords recharging capability for mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets, while an available second port accommodates media connectivity. Uconnect Web, powered by Autonet Mobile, also is available to U.S. customers.

2014 Ram Cargo Van

The Ram Cargo Van Uconnect system features a 6.5-inch touchscreen display, audio jack input for mobile devices, available navigation system, SiriusXM Radio and Uconnect handsfree voice command with Bluetooth and a remote USB port. Auxiliary power is supplied by a 120-volt outlet, and 12-volt front and rear DC outlets.

A Jeep that acts like a Pickup?

Yes, you can get that — along with a whole range of useful, cool, or downright funky — at Londonderry Dodge Chrysler Jeep.
"The JK-8 conversion is very cool," said Londonderry's general manager, Trevor Diachuk, who has overseen several of the projects which mate a pickup-style cargo box to a Jeep body. The concept was introduced to local Jeep fans at the the 2012 Edmonton Motor Show. "You get the kit from MOPAR, and there's about 20 hours of labour involved in getting it completed. If you're really, really handy, you could do it yourself — but I wouldn't try it myself. It converts a four-door Wrangler — whether it be a Rubicon, a Sahara or whatever you want — into a Wrangler truck.
"Originally, they were coming out with two versions — one was a bolt-on, while the other is actually taken to the bodyshop and manufactured as part of the vehicle."
Although he is aware of one or two JK-8 conversions at other Edmonton shops, Diachuk says his team already has more experience doing these conversions than anyone else in the area.
"This is our third conversion, and I'm hoping to do one for myself soon. This isn't something you're going to see many of on the road, and Jeep fans love individuality.
"We have one on the ground most of the time. I don't think anyone else has grabbed hold of the idea like we have. We sell the most Jeeps in the city, and probably the most in Canada. This may be one of the big reasons why — all the things we do to them. If you want something more than you would get off the showroom floor, this is the place to do it."
The most recently completed JK-8 conversion attracts plenty of attention for visitors who take in the off-roader's Commando Green paint, air intake snorkel and seamless box integration before moving on to additional Londonderry Jeep showcase pieces. These include a rooftop tenting kit that allows the avid off-roader to convert his or her Jeep into a rustic RV in a matter of seconds.
"The whole thing folds down to a package only a few centimetres thick. The beauty is, you can move it from vehicle to vehicle if you like. When you decide to stop for the night, your tent is ready to use in less than four minutes.
"I wanted to go to the Rubicon Trail this year, and this would be a classic for that kind of event. It's a three day trek, and there are no cabins or other accommodations along the way."
Even with a top-end tent like the $2,000 ARP model on display at the dealership, your Jeep can become a rolling home away from home for under $3,000.
Now approaching completion is a power roof conversion for a Rubicon. You can see a video of the roof in action at under the 'Customizing Your Jeep?' tile on the main page.
"This is the only power top Wrangler I've seen in Alberta," said Diachuk.

Dealer principal Bob Harms has brought back many ideas for Jeep modifications from the SEMA (Special Equipment Manufacturers Association) show held annually in Las Vegas. The power top, by Rugged Ridge, is one of the products Londonderry can provide, with the store's service and bodyshop staff completing the job started by parts experts like Joanna Bruce.
"There's a couple of us who see what's been released at SEMA," said Bruce. "We run it by Trevor and see what fun things we can do."

The "let's try it" attitude goes way back at Londonderry Dodge Chrysler Jeep. For example, although you can now get body-coloured hardtop roofs for Jeeps, the only factory colour available until relatively recently was black.

"Before you could get it from the factory, we sanded a normal black top and painted it in our bodyshop to make it match," said Diachuk. "We were doing it before the factory did."
Both Diachuk and Bruce credit the Jeep buyer for driving creativity and the movement to new products and approaches.

"It seems like the Jeep culture is very well informed for what is out for their vehicle and what is possible," said Bruce. "They're more on top of it than anyone — they'll find out firsthand, and we get a lot of ideas from customers themselves what would be a fun vehicle to do."
The sky's the limit for Jeep customization, and Bruce can hook you up with anything from a new set of tires and wheels, to suspension modifications, to projects like the JK-8 conversion worth about $14,000 and up.
"Usually, the biggest issue is time," she says. "A lot of people are very understanding that, if they want the vehicle that they've conceptualized in their mind, the wait is worth it."
But be warned — customization can be addicting.
"Once people get involved with changing the esthetic look of it, they like to take it on to a different dimension with extra add-ons," notes Bruce.
"We've got four or five ideas on the backburner about different types of Jeeps we could do, but there's not enough time to do them all. For anyone who's interested in this kind of thing, it's just a matter of coming in, giving us your ideas, and we'll come up with a price and an E.T.A for completion.
"Whether they're going off-roading or the just want something that looks great in the city, we can help them.

Ram 1500 "Rumble Bee" Truck

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept Buzzes into Detroit

  • Inspired by the Super Bee of the late '60s, the Rumble Bee concept celebrates its 10-year anniversary at the 2013 Woodward Dream Cruise
  • Ram Truck brand continues with tradition and creative design, building unique pickups for consumers to enjoy
10 years ago, the Ram Truck Brand introduced the Rumble Bee, a popular model inspired by the Super Bee muscle car of the late ‘60s. Today, Ram unveiled a new HEMI-powered Ram 1500 Rumble Bee concept to celebrate the 10-year anniversary and the heritage of Ram’s unique truck designs that include the Lil Red Express, Warlock and Power Wagon.

“The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee continues to have a strong fan base and what better place to celebrate its 10-year anniversary than Woodward Dream Cruise,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Ram Truck Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “There’s a lot of energy surrounding concept trucks and buzz models, and the Ram Design Team revels in creating something that is unique for our customers to enjoy.”

The Rumble Bee concept began life as a 2013 Ram 1500 R/T. Keeping with tradition, the lightweight, two-door; 2WD configuration is covered in “Drone Yellow” paint with a unique matte finish. The rare color/finish flows over the entire truck including the bumpers, flares and the Mopar ground effects kit. True to form, a new “Speed Bee” design is swathed on both sides of the truck within a gloss black stripe that fades into honeycomb. The stripe glides front to rear, around the top of the bed and over the Mopar tonneau cover to memorialize HEMI-powered vehicles of the late 1960s and early 1970s, which dominated the racing scene. Factory 22-inch wheels are replaced with gloss black, 24-inch, Vellano VRH custom rollers and a 2-inch drop provided by King Suspension enhances handing performance and appearance with the help of a reservoir shock at each wheel. The grille, hood vents, badging, fuel door and the dual exhaust tailpipes are coated in gloss black, carrying the theme on all sides.

The colors and graphics spread through the Ram R/T-based interior, featuring black and Drone Yellow leather sport mesh seats with two-tone yellow/light-grey stitching. “Rumble Bee” lettering and Ram logos adorn chairs, floor mats and door bolsters. The interior center-piece is an actual amber-encased bee mounted into the 8-speed rotary shifter knob that lights up to expose a honeycomb pattern background. Two buttons below the knob control exhaust cutouts to bypass the Mopar cat-back dual-exhaust system, allowing the full sound force of a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 to escape — loud and LOUDER! The unique honeycomb pattern is shared with door trim and the dash, where a milled aluminum “10th Anniversary” commemorative badge serves as the truck’s ID.

Under hood, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee concept houses a 5.7-liter HEMI with 395 horsepower and 407 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. The HEMI is fitted with a custom gloss yellow and black engine cover with honeycomb graphic pattern. Mopar’s cold-air intake system gives the HEMI a bump in performance and relentless torque is transferred through a 4.10 gear set for quick jumps off the line.

Ram 1500 tops Consumer Reports' pickup ratings for first time

1st Time Ram 1500 tops Consumer Reports' pickup ratings

Ram beats Tundra, F-150; Silverado still in testing

The re-engineered Ram 1500, in addition to topping the magazine's rankings in the pickup segment, earned its first "recommended" badge from Consumer Reports because previous versions of the pickup have been reliable.
The Chrysler Group half-ton pickup scored a 78 in the magazine's road testing, nine points above the second-place Toyota Tundra and 10 points higher than the Ford F-150.
Consumer Reports said it is still testing the redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and will release results this summer.
The Ram scored two points lower than the 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche, but because General Motors no longer produces the Avalanche, the Ram 1500 received the top ranking.
"Continued interior and powertrain improvements make the Ram a particularly well-rounded choice," said Jake Fisher, director of Consumer Reports' Auto Test Center in East Haddam, Conn.
The magazine's recommendations and rankings are widely used by consumers when choosing vehicles. Among large sedans, the 2013 Chrysler 300 tied the Nissan Maxima atop Consumer Reports' road test scores.
Pickup surge
The review of the Ram comes amid a surge in sales of large pickups in the United States as the housing and construction sectors rebound. In addition to revamped 2014 large pickups from Chevrolet and GMC, Ford is planning an overhaul of the top-selling F-150 for 2015.
Consumer Reports tested a 2013 Ram with the 5.7-liter Hemi engine and the automaker's eight-speed automatic transmission, which returned 15 mpg in testing, the highest among vehicles tested.
Earlier, the previous-generation Ram 1500, also tested with the 5.7-liter Hemi, received a score of 67 points from Consumer Reports.

A spokesman for the magazine said that 1,600 of its readers have responded to surveys about Ram 1500s that they bought in the 2010, 2011, and 2012 model years. Consumer Reports requires at least 100 respondents to publish data on a vehicle's reliability.
The magazine praised the Ram's coil spring rear suspension, which the automaker migrated over to its heavy-duty lineup for the 2014 model year, for delivering a superior ride.
It also complimented Chrysler's UConnect infotainment system as "one of the best in the business," but criticized the pickup for having a high step-in height and a heavy tailgate.
Chrysler and its dealers are prohibited from using Consumer Reports findings in any advertising or marketing, so the impact of the Ram 1500's segment victory will be limited to consumers who find the data on their own.
Proof of revival
Ram marketing director Bob Hegbloom said the magazine's recommended rating and its review of the Ram 1500 are proof of Chrysler's revival.
"I feel pretty proud about it because we've come so far over the last 10 years. We know we've got an incredible truck, and we'll put it up against everything in the marketplace," Hegbloom said. "This is just one more enabler that we have that will bring people in to look at our vehicle."
Chrysler Group's half-ton pickup received an extensive re-engineering for the 2013 model year with the introduction of an eight-speed transmission as well as an available 3.6-liter V-6 engine.
The combination allowed the Ram 1500 to be rated at an EPA estimated 25 mpg highway, the highest in the segment. For the 2014 model year, Ram is offering an optional 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine that is likely to top its gasoline-powered highway mpg, but it won't be available until late 2013.
In addition to the powertrain upgrades, Ram updated the 2013 Ram 1500's interior and electronics.
Large pickup buyers are among the auto industry's most loyal customers, and because truck sales produce hefty profits, the Detroit 3 routinely wage fierce marketing battles for market share.
The improvements have helped the 2014 Ram gain a full point of market share in the full-sized pickup segment through the first half of this year, from 15.3 percent to 16.3 percent.
U.S. sales of the Ram pickup have increased 23 percent through June to 170,319.

The magazine praised the Ram's coil spring rear suspension, which the automaker migrated over to its heavy-duty lineup for the 2014 model year.

Edmonton's Industry-Exclusive Stow & Go

Canada's Best-Selling Minivan For Over 28 Years With Class-Leading Performance Is Ready To Claim 29 Years!

When you were a kid, your parent's Grand Caravan was the coolest ride out there! It fit all of your friends, all of your stuff, and the big kids rode in the back. As you got a little older, you begged your mom to drop you off around the corner because lets face it, it had lost its coolness. Now you're all grown up with a family of your own, and with a family comes stuff and a need for more space. This year, the Grand Caravan is hotter than ever!

Best-In-Class Versatility.

Remember when you had to remove the benches in your Grand Caravan in order to use it to its full potential? In the 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, simply stow second and third row seating for 4072 litres of cargo volume, that's over 260 soccer balls! Lets not forget behind the third row seating is the 225mm deep in-floor storage bin making everyday errands such as grocery shopping a piece of cake. On top of all that is the Stow 'n Place roof rack system that can be easily stowed into the side rails when not in use.

Tow With Confidence.

The Trailer Sway Damping uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to recognize when unique vehicle and/or trailer motion is occurring that isn't caused by steering input. The system then applies brake pressure on alternating wheels and may adjust the throttle to help eliminate the sway and maintain vehicle and trailer stability. All thus allowing you to keep your family safe, your most precious cargo.

With added features such as heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, ParkView rear back up camera, Garmin GPS navigation system, a dual independent 9 inch screen Blu-Ray DVD system, button controlled power dual sliding doors and liftgate to name a few.

It moves forward with a unique oil pan, an acoustic engine cover to help mask noise, optimized upper intake airflow for torque, and added equal-length downpipes to assist low and mid-range torque response. Also unique to the Pentastar are the front-end accessory drive and high-mounted rear-facing alternator for water fording. Its pulse-width-modulated 600-watt fan is 100 percent variable speed, not just high and low, plus it has a full-face condenser for better A/C performance and a stand-alone transmission oil cooler.

Dodge Challenger - The Legend drives on.

Edmonton start your engines - Introducing the 2013 Dodge Challenger

Influenced by more than 40 years of interior design and innovation, Challenger's "Four Bomb" tunnel-style gauges and available race-inspired pedals pay tribute to the original.

A thick-rimmed, three-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel featuring integrated controls keeps the driver in command. With more interior room than Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro, there's plenty of space to spread out.

                                Geometry Major

Power is nothing without control and Challenger SRT is fortified with both. The 470 horsepower, 470 lb-ft torque SRT 392 HEMI V8 is backed by four-wheel disc antilock brakes outfitted with vented rotors and Brembo performance four-piston calipers. Air ducts integrated into the front fascia help to reduce brake temperatures under extreme driving circumstances. Brake knock-back mitigation uses the advanced technologies of lateral g-force sensors to prime the braking sustem, eliminating brake pedal fade and enhancing stopping distances during the faster-paced driving. Challenger SRT also features a high-performance with Bilstein monotube tuned dampers.

Available at Edmonton's own Londonderry Dodge, the 2013 Dodge Challenger comes in the SXT, SXT Plus, Rallye Redline, R/TR/T Classic, and the SRT 392

If you want to give your Challenger a more aggressive look, or you're looking to improve on the Challenger's already breathtaking performance and handling, come visit our Parts and Service at Londonderry Dodge. We can give your Challenger an incredible new attitude with custom accessories ranging from new rims and tires to a functional shaker hook or anything in between.
